U.S. Gives Greenlight to $3.5 Billion Sale of Apache AH-64E Helicopters to South Korea
The US State Department has given the green light for the purchase of 36 AH-64E Apache helicopters, along with their logistics and support, to South Korea in an agreement worth $3.5 billion.
This purchase amplifies South Korea’s current inventory. The South Korean military currently possesses 36 AH-64E Apache attack helicopters.
The contract contains helicopters, including 76 T700-GE-701D engines, focusing and night vision equipment, radar systems for fire control, Hellfire and Joint Air-to-Ground missiles, along with additional systems.
