Buckingham Palace has issued a statement about King Charles, confirming the diagnosis of a form of cancer.

The statement did not specify the nature or type of the cancer, but it did say that the King wanted the news to be made public to prevent any speculation and that he hoped that the information would help to better understand the situation of those affected by cancer worldwide. The King has been advised by his doctors to postpone public appearances. However, he is expected to continue to carry out state business and official paper work as normal. The cancer has been diagnosed early and the King is receiving all necessary treatments and medical advice.

In a post in Social Networking Site X, President of the United States (POTUS) said: “Navigating a cancer diagnosis, treatment, and survivorship takes hope and absolute courage. Jill and I join the people of the United Kingdom in praying that His Majesty experiences a swift and full recovery.”

The Prime Minister Rishi Sunak has also wished the king for “full and speedy recovery”.  He has further said that as prime minister, he would “continue to communicate with him as normal” and said to BBC Radio that “the cancer has been diagnosed early”.

During the treatment, the heir Prince William is expected to assist in carrying out public duties.
